Our rules

Constitution of the Quakers & Business Group, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, registration number 1157008, dated 26 February 2014

The objects of the CIO are to promote Quaker principles particularly in the context of business and the workplace.

Our constitution

The charity is governed by a board of Trustees who meet regularly, and are advised by Management Committee, made up of all members, who meet regularly throughout the year and during weekly Connection meetings.

To make the three management meetings accessible to as many group members as possible, we hold them on weekdays or weekend days, in the afternoon or evening, and face to face - often in London or Birmingham, or over the internet using a VOIP application such as Skype and Zoom.

By default the committee includes the officers of the charity, as listed on the Contact Us page, plus other members from other group committees and working groups, and any other group members who wish to contribute. We believe in being transparent in our work, and so are happy for visitors to join us.
